Lack of feedback

I haven't updated the blog in a while as i was down with lack of motivation and laziness. I mean, this thing needs some kind of feedback to get me going. I mean, i know that i am doing this as a fun thing for myself but still some kind of readership would be welcomed.

It's frustrating when you blog and you don't get feedback.

I enjoy your site. I'm a movie freak with tons of dvds. I look at your site to see if I should check out a video or not.

I certainly understand how you feel re: feedback. I'm a member of a number of sites and never get enough feedback (how much is enough?).

So.. let me say...

.. I totally agree with your review of "Miller's Crossing" and completely disagree with your review of "Dances with Wolves" and the fact that you gave it the same rating as "Constantine" is just ridiculous...

ADD to this that "CITY OF GOD" gets the same rating as "Constantine" and then you dis it has a rip-off of Tarentino's movie-style when Tarentino's movie-style is just a modern rip-off of blaxplotation films of the 70s -- in fact, the very 'time-jumping' and 'freeze-framing' you mention I first saw in 70s blaxplotation films.

"City of God" was excellent -- in story, photography and even acting (in that kinda chessy B-movie sort of way that warms my heart) plus the fact that you get a glimpse of another culture and a smaller glimpse of Rio De Janerio. It is simple the best foreign language film I have seen in many a year (maybe since "Swept Away") and the damn documentary that's included on the DVD is just as good as the MOVIE!

On the bright side.. you're right on point re: "Million Dollar Baby".. it's been a long time since a movie put a lump in my throat.

How's that? Some good old fashioned dialoggin'? I assume you post reviews to Netflix, so I'll check for your "Maestro" there. The name is lp.. lp009
